dr DisRespect was born GuyBeahm on March 10, 1982. Not much is known about Guy Beahm before he created the character of Dr. DisRespect accepted. For example, his place of birth is unknown, although he is currently settled in Washington. However, it is known that Guy Beahm studied at the Califonia State Polytechnic University in Pomona. While in college, he played NCAA Division II basketball.
His rise as an internet personality began playing Halo 2 on the XBox. The XBox gave him access to proximity voice chat, which allowed him to chat with other players in real time. He took the opportunity to showcase a dominant character that was aided by his skill level. By January 5, 2010, Guy Beahm and his housemates had decided to start posting content on YouTube.
These first steps led to Beahm becoming the Community Manager of Sledgehammer Games. He rose through the ranks and met the level designer. He helped create several multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. He left Sledgehammer in 2015 after joining Justin.tv so he could focus his full attention on streaming.
